28/03/09 - L.A. PROJECT LIVE at Stockholm (review) >>> Peter Friestedt

The show began with 3 songs from Peter Friedstedt's records "Got to find it","Always on my mind" and "Cheyenne". Then the band played "What a fool believes" from the Doobie Brothers. Here came Joseph Williams acclaimed by a frenzied audience. He sang "Pamela" with a steady voice which only belongs to him. Then "One more night" from Peter's and it's the break...
The band came back without Joseph but nor for long. After "Love a powerful thing", he sang an eight minute long song "Somewhere tonight" with a female singer which turned into a reggae jam. Joe was now on the way to sing a piece that was never sung on stage "Thousand years". Then it's "When you look in my eyes" from Jay Graydon's record Planet 3. The first chords of "Could this be love" began and it's the cherry on the cake. Joseph is puzzled when the audience began to sing the chorus. Joseph hummed the first chords of "New York New York"!!! It's a huge showman and had fun with the cats. Finally "Stop loving you" was such a delight. After the calls, they played "Get back" from the Beatles.

Thank so much Peter and Joseph for this wonderful evening. A gig that will be remembered.

It is said that Peter and Joseph might go on tour this Summer.
