Album released the 14th October in 1986. Very Fm sound, the first one with Joseph Williams, in the place of Eric Martin (Mr Big), what Steve Lukather prefered. Joseph is the son of the famous songwriter John Williams who wrote some songs for Steven Spielberg's movies. Often this records is knowing under this real capability. For note, the fabulous participation of Miles Davis who worked on his own solo record with David Paich and Steve Porcaro at this moment. Also Michael McDonald, Don Henley, David Sanborn were on the record too. The first single 'I'll Be Over You' was 11th on the US Top single. A great success.

The Art Cover:

The Fahrenheit art cover has been designed by Michael Going. He was a friend of Jeff Porcaro. The technic used for this picture was to work with a polaroid. On the left the original picture, on the right Michael Going's work, we can see few differences between these two pictures.

Joseph Williams and Steve Lukather talk about Fahrenheit (october 2006) :

Joseph Williams :
"Wow! 20 years! I have great memories of that album and that time! I had a lot of good energy for song writing and studio work. The tour was something special too! I remember Mike Porcaro and I were sent ahead of the rest of the band to Japan for a promotional trip. We had a great time! It was my first time to Japan. It’s hard to believe that I have been there over 25 times now.
1986 in general was a time of great change for me. I was 26 years old and eager to get out there and play! The band had been through some rough years prior to that but they really welcomed me with open arms and minds......At the beginning anyway!
We worked really well in the studio. That’s where I am most comfortable I think. And the videos! What a blast. I went from relative obscurity to......Well...Something more!
A great time. A great band, A great album.
Happy Birthday to Fahrenheit!
And love to all those who have loved it!
Smiles"

Steve Lukather :
"Wow.. I have not thought about THAT! hahaha 20 years since fahrenheit. It was a great time for us as Joe had just joinmed the band. I really like this record, sometimes a bit softer vibe wise but very musical. We had Miles Davis on it and a #1 hit record with 'I'll be over U'.
Good news, it looks like Jope will join us for the 30th anniversary tour in 2008 IF we can get it all together. Trying to get Steve Porcaro as well and do all those tunes we have not done in over 20 some odd years. Stay tuned and thanks for the good vibes!"
